Memories of an Exhibition sets out to paint not famous canvases but the memory of having seen them. Bardou uses AI as what he calls an 'artificial imagination' working alongside organic memory, letting color act as the trigger that recalls a work, so that each output reads as a hazy, half-remembered trace rather than a reproduction. The series draws on the work of six painters: Pierre Bonnard, Wassily Kandinsky, Gustav Klimt, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh, with individual 'Memory' pieces titled after them. The project grows out of Bardou's earlier photogrammetry and point-cloud films, moving from frozen 3D captures toward animated, softer and more painterly imagery. The BrainDrops edition comprises 329 works.
