Elemental Creation: The Artistic Journey is a 500-piece AI collection that charts the emotional swings of making art, from inspiration and doubt to exposure to the market. It sets that personal arc against the forces shaping artists in 2023, namely new technology, the economics of NFTs and the arrival of AI tools, and draws a line between ancient artistic traditions and contemporary machine-made images. The series reads as a self-portrait of the AI artist's condition at a specific moment, made by an artist who came to the medium from outside the art world.
