CharlesAI is a French physician and NFT artist who began making AI art in 2021 as a way to cope with the stress of emergency-room work during the COVID-19 pandemic, after discovering the early VQGAN+CLIP technique. He first gained notice for vividly colored AI landscapes on OpenSea, and has since exhibited at MoCa Gallery and the IHAM art gallery in Paris, as well as in Rome, Milan and around Art Basel Miami. He took part in the first physical NFT auction in France, co-organized what was described as the first European physical AI art exhibition in Nice, has been featured in Beaux Arts magazine and was interviewed by BFMTV about AI art and its ethics.
