Anthrocinematica is a 500-piece AI video collection of seamless loops, each with its own title. Every loop begins on a single photograph pinned to a wall, enters the moment that photo captures, pulls back to reveal the full room, and returns to its starting frame. The rooms number thirteen across five countries, and each exists in a Japanese and an American version, a duality Chikai ties to his upbringing as the US-born son of Japanese immigrants. The room images were generated with Midjourney v6, upscaled with Magnific to an effective 40,000 x 40,000 pixels (about 1.6 gigapixels each), and animated with Runway's multi motion brush; all 500 pieces were then hand-edited in Final Cut Pro. AI artifacts such as extra hands are kept deliberately as metaphors for human imperfection, and a few pieces hide crypto easter eggs.
