Chikai Ohazama is a San Francisco-based artist and entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering. He co-created Keyhole, the company Google acquired and turned into Google Earth, and spent about a decade working on Google Earth and Google Maps. He began making visual art in early 2023 and became known for 'cinematic AI': images ideated in Midjourney, animated in Runway, and shaped into narratives with film-editing techniques. His work has been featured by nft now and OpenSea, and he presented the pop-up exhibition 'Chikai: Hominis' at Alisan Fine Arts in New York in November 2024.
