Roope Rainisto (b. 1979) is a Finnish artist, designer and photographer based in Helsinki, with roughly 25 years as a creative professional before turning to AI-based, post-photographic image-making around 2021. He won Claire Silver's second AI art contest in 2022 with the video piece Temporary, which helped bring him to BrainDrops' attention. After Life In West America he released REWORLD (2023) on Fellowship, a 500-piece series drawn from over 50,000 outputs that was later printed large and shown at Paris Photo, headlined Fellowship's Post Photographic Perspectives show, and released Vacation (2024) with Verse, for which he fine-tuned and trained multiple custom versions of Stable Diffusion.
