Ren (Ren AI) is a traditionally trained artist who adopted AI to extend a practice rooted in the old masters, producing what Ren describes as post-humanist work on how technology shapes daily life and draws people into virtual worlds. Series include RenAIssance, which reinterprets old-master styles; American Rust; Museums of AI, a year-long 2023 project of postcards from imagined AI museums; and Lost Memories with Mirage Gallery. Ren is a member of the MAIF collective of AI-assisted artists and has exhibited since 2022, including at SuperChief Gallery in New York, Mecenate Gallery in Rome, and Bad Glitches Only Redux in Tokyo and New York.
