Entangled Others is the studio of Sofia Crespo and Feileacan Kirkbride McCormick, founded in 2020 and based in Lisbon. Their work explores the uncanny spaces between non-human nature and technology, questions bias in how species are represented, and argues for a biological model of computation. Crespo, born in Argentina, has worked with artificial life and biologically inspired technology since 2017 and is known for Neural Zoo (2018-2020); McCormick is a generative artist, researcher, and former architect focused on ecology. The duo won first prize in the 2021 re:Humanism award (shown at MAXXI, Rome), entered the Buffalo AKG Art Museum collection with Swim (2022), took over Times Square's Midnight Moment in 2022, and projection-mapped the facade of Gaudí's Casa Batlló in 2024.
