New Realities pairs familiar landscapes with surreal intrusions, such as a suburban street with a passing train beneath a sky formed by a woman's profile, leaving the viewer to decide where reality ends. The imagery draws on Infiniteyay's travels through five Asian countries: Japan, Thailand, South Korea, China and Taiwan. Its look is deliberately collage-like, built from cut-out figures, skies and graphic lines in bold color and layered texture. The artist generates many thousands of images, hand-sorts them for the strongest bases, then masks and layers them extensively in Photoshop, sometimes working in his own drawings and photographs.
