Fake Feelings is an album of 1,000 AI-generated songs, each minted as its own NFT. It was made by the neural-music duo Dadabots in collaboration with the Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein, whose discography the model was trained on with the band's permission. The songs have no real lyrics: what sounds like impassioned singing and screaming is synthesized raw audio, with vocals that resemble the band's style but form only random syllables. Each track is presented with a visualizer. The release sold out on BrainDrops in about three minutes. It was an early example of a working band licensing its catalogue to train an AI and releasing the results on-chain.
