Detective Jack: The Cold Case by ClownVamp — 500 AI artworks

Detective Jack: The Cold CaseBy ClownVamp · 500 works · released 2023-09-18The Cold Case is a 500-piece prequel to ClownVamp's Detective Jack saga, an interactive noir set in 1960s Los Angeles that began on Tezos in 2022 and moved to Ethereum for this BrainDrops release. Each token is a page of evidence from a single case file, sorted into seven categories: Memories, Locations, Evidence, Mugshots, Portraits, Scans, and Dreams. ClownVamp generated roughly 11,000 AI images and cut them down to 500, keeping only those that advanced the plot or built its period atmosphere, from 1961 beaches to donut shops; no image repeats, so every piece is a distinct clue. Collectors are invited into a networked mystery, continuing the earlier seasons' Discord culture of cropping, zooming, and code-breaking to piece the story together.

Approximately 11,000 AI-generated images were curated down to the 500 in the edition.

Tokens fall into seven case-file categories: Memories, Locations, Evidence, Mugshots, Portraits, Scans, and Dreams.

The story is set in 1961: the night before Jack Crimson plans to propose, Tiffany Abbington disappears, drawing in the KGB, CIA, a cowboy gang, and JFK cut-out letters.

The original Detective Jack series launched on Tezos in 2022; The Cold Case was the saga's move to Ethereum.

ClownVamp worked on the project from February 2023, printing images and laying them out on his dining table to map the story.
