A Journey of Samurai is a narrative painting series following a lone samurai across shifting landscapes on a quest to collect rare grains of soil as offerings to an ethereal goddess, in hope of a sacred stone that will lift the curse darkening his village. It brings the vocabulary of fantasy concept art, with its sweeping environments, dramatic scale and strong color contrast, to an episodic, storybook format in which each piece is a stop on the journey. The series was announced as 444 unique pieces at 0.05 ETH, and the release ultimately closed with 92 minted.
